Well we hadn’t seen the kids and the grandkids for quite a few years so when it came for the big reunion day I had no problem with coming up with a barbecue plan that could feed the masses. The problem I ran into was that my wife wanted to make a very special desert but with her limited cooking and baking range she was at a lost for what to do – and store bought was not going to cut it. She franticly searched the Internet for some desert ideas and sure enough she ran into some web sites that gave her recipes for cake balls. All she needed was some cake mix, some Popsicle sticks and some melting chocolate and sprinkles and she was all set. The next problem was that she found all this information on the same day that everybody was coming and this recipe takes a day or so to make.

As it turned out the solution was easy as my baker friend just happen to have a bunch of plain donut holes that didn’t sell that day so we were in business. We just took the donut holes, dipped them in chocolate, added the sprinkles froze for a couple of hours and we had very own homemade cake balls
